Located in northwest Stockholm, between Solvallastaden and the planned redevelopment of Bromma Airport into a new mixed-use district, the station is designed to seamlessly integrate into the evolving urban landscape while addressing environmental and social needs.
The design prioritizes sustainability and functionality, promoting eco-friendly mobility with charging points for electric vehicles and bicycles. A landscaped area encourages community interaction, offering a welcoming space for relaxation.
The station incorporates pollinator-friendly plants and bird habitats to enhance biodiversity, while rain gardens help manage stormwater effectively. Tree planting is key to reducing urban heat and creating a more comfortable and climate-resilient environment. Well-lit, intuitive pathways ensure safety and accessibility and foster a secure and inclusive user experience.
Designed to meet future energy needs and contribute to the ongoing energy transition, this station redefines the traditional gas station by integrating environmental sustainability, fostering eco-friendly mobility, and creating social value within the urban landscape.
